WHAT is EB5 Visa

What is an EB-5 Visa?

There is only one investment program that can lead to a permanent residency in the United States, and that is the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program. According to this program, the investor should invest 500 K USD in an authorized USA Based company, and act as a passive investor.
The American Congress created this program in 1990 to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment. By investing through this program, applicants can obtain conditional residency in two years, followed by a permanent residency in the U.S.

REGIONAL CENTER PROGRAM
This program requires no active management of a U.S business. Applicants need to invest US $500,000 in a Regional Center, which has a project in a targeted employment area.
CITIZENSHIP BY NATURALIZATION
To apply for citizenship, the applicant must maintain residency in the U.S as a Green Card holder for 5 years. Out of the 5 years, the applicant must be physically present in the U.S for at least 3 years.
  • $500,000 USD in a Targeted Employment Area (TEA)
    • The investment must be made in a for-profit U.S. commercial entity
    • The investment must create 10 new full-time jobs for U.S. workers for two years (OR sustain 10 existing jobs in a troubled business)
